3POMarket
A Delaware fintech marketplace, not yet launched, where fans can invest in top-tier college athletes and creators and share in what they earn. Each listing raises $200,000 for 10% of defined earnings over six years, under Regulation Crowdfunding.
The problem
3POmarket needed to be taken seriously before it existed. Its visitors are fans deciding whether to invest, athletes and creators deciding whether to list, and the partners and investors behind both, and all of them judge a money product by how it looks.
The client had branding, a structure and draft copy, but by their own account the draft looked like a generic dark SaaS template: flat type, a weak hero, the same card grid in every section, and no credibility signals.
The future of fan investing is here.
Flat type and a weak hero
The same card grid in every section
No credibility signals
The approach
Two rounds of structured discovery first, covering the draft, pages, forms, platform and motion. Then three design rounds: an editorial serif direction the client rejected as too “elegant AI”, a bolder grotesk version, and a final direction with rounded surfaces, real photography and the client’s own colours.
Throughout, the copy stays on the right side of the regulation. Anything that could read as investment advice carries a disclaimer, platform features are described as planned, and market figures are labelled as third-party estimates.
Invest in the athletes and creators you believe in.

What we built
Six decisions that made a pre-launch marketplace read as institutional.
Archivo as the only typeface, white-to-cyan gradient headings, filled rounded surfaces instead of hairlines, a floating pill nav and full photography, in the client’s own near-black, cyan and cool greys.
Two draggable sliders and preset scenarios update the investor’s share, earnings slice, payouts and multiple in real time, worded as illustrative arithmetic rather than a forecast.
A draggable photo carousel for who they back, and a five-step “How it works” switcher where the image changes with each step.
An accordion where every item carries a status tag, Registered, Intended, In place or In design, so visitors can see what exists and what is still planned.
Separate paths for investors and for athletes and creators, each with its own form and its own disclaimer.
Global CSS, drop-in code blocks for the stats, credentials bar, calculator and collage, a script for the section toggles, and SEO titles and descriptions.
