Everything reconsidered, then rebuilt around it.
For companies with an existing site — Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, Webflow or anywhere else — that needs a new design, a platform move, or both. Same buyer motion, one project, rankings protected on the way across.
The site is not just dated. It is aimed at the wrong buyer.
That fear is rational. Most redesigns are done by someone who treats the old site as a nuisance — pages get dropped, URLs change silently, and three weeks later the traffic that took years to build is gone. So the site stays as it is, quietly costing you work.
The usual redesign
The real risk
Not the design — the migration. Lost redirects, missing metadata, orphaned blog posts and a sitemap nobody resubmitted. That's what tanks rankings, and it's entirely preventable.
Why bundling matters
Splitting redesign and migration into two jobs is how things fall between the cracks. One project, one person accountable for both the look and the technical move.
What Rebuild does
Audit what's working, keep it, redesign around it, redirect everything by hand, then measure rankings before and after so the outcome is evidence rather than a promise.
- Audit
- What already works is kept
- Redesign
- Built around what works
- Redirects
- Every old URL, mapped by hand
- Proof
- Rankings measured before and after

Discovery
Your buyer, your competitors and the searches that actually convert. We audit what already works so nothing valuable gets thrown out with the redesign.
Message & structure
Positioning agreed, then a new sitemap with pages merged or retired deliberately. You approve what the site will say before anyone opens a design tool.
Copy written
Every page written for you and delivered as a document to review. This is the stage that removes most design revisions later.
Design & build
Custom design from a blank canvas, then built out — desktop and mobile in parallel, with SEO, schema and analytics wired in as we go.
Migration & QA
Every page moved and verified by hand, every old URL mapped to a redirect, then forms, speed, browsers and devices all checked before switchover.
Launch & monitor
Switchover timed for a quiet hour, then a monitoring window with a before-and-after ranking check. Training walkthrough and 30 days of support.

Pricing, in the open
Every Rebuild includes the full deliverables list above — strategy, copywriting, custom design and a mapped migration. Where the number lands depends on scope, not on which tier you pick, and you get the exact figure in writing before you commit.
What moves the number
4 factorsPage count
A ten-page rebuild and a forty-page site with a blog archive are different jobs. We agree the new sitemap before pricing.
Content created versus migrated
How much needs writing from nothing against how much is reworked from what you already have.
Migration complexity
Platform, archive size and how cleanly the existing URLs map across. WordPress with ten years of posts takes longer than a five-page Wix site.
Functionality
Booking systems, member areas, e-commerce, multi-language or CRM integrations add build time.
Rebuild questions
Will we lose our rankings?
+
Not with a mapped migration. Every old URL gets a 301 to its new equivalent, metadata and headings travel with the content, schema is rebuilt, and the sitemap is resubmitted on switchover day. We take a ranking snapshot before and check it after, so the result is measured rather than claimed. Small fluctuation in the first two weeks is normal while Google recrawls; a permanent drop means the migration wasn't mapped.
How long does this actually take?
+
Eight to sixteen weeks, depending on page count and how much content is created rather than migrated. The clock starts once discovery is complete, and the single biggest cause of delay is feedback sitting unanswered — so review windows are agreed up front.
Does our current site go down while you build?
+
No. The new site is built on a private URL while your existing one stays live and keeps generating enquiries. The only moment anything changes publicly is the scheduled switchover, timed for a quiet hour, with email and integrations kept running throughout.
Who writes the copy?
+
We do — copy for every page is written for you and included in the price. It's delivered as a document for your review before any design work begins, which is exactly why design revisions stay minimal. If your content is already settled and you only need it built, that's Launch.
What if my needs change mid-project?
+
Small changes get absorbed. Anything that genuinely adds scope gets quoted as a written addition before work starts, so the agreed price never quietly inflates. Structural changes are cheapest early, which is why the sitemap gets locked in the first fortnight.
Can we move from WordPress, Wix or Webflow?
+
Yes — any platform. Content, blog archive and metadata come across by hand rather than through an importer, because importers reliably mangle formatting and drop the things that matter for search.
Who owns the site afterwards?
+
You do, outright — domain, Squarespace subscription, analytics, all of it in your name. There is no hostage arrangement and nothing stops working if you walk away.
The work speaks. So do the people who paid for it.
“Mikkel is truly a one of a kind talent and an all around pleasure to work with. He is more than a freelancer. He’s a businessman himself who made it a point to understand my business. If you can articulate it, he can make it. He is perhaps the clearest communicator of any web designer I have ever worked with. He incorporates certain tools and software in his feedback process that create for a seamless implementation of any design feedback he receives. And he nails it. No matter how detailed or lengthy, not a single comment is lost on him. I am working on other businesses as well where I will soon need a website for them too. My only regret is not being able to build those other businesses fast enough, so I can see him create magic again sooner. When those projects are ready to advance and are ready for their big public debut, I know who I will be going to. Thank you Mikkel, sincerely.”

“Working with Mikkel was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I didn’t have a clear roadmap when we began — just a rough concept — and he somehow managed to bring clarity, structure, and creativity to the entire process. As the project evolved and my ideas shifted, Mikkel remained patient, thoughtful, and solutions-focused. He listened carefully, asked the right questions, and consistently delivered work that captured exactly what I was hoping for — even when I couldn’t fully articulate it myself. I’m absolutely thrilled with the final result and incredibly grateful for the effort and dedication he invested. I would not hesitate to recommend him.”

“Working with Mikkel on the Ajarro website was one of the best creative collaborations I’ve had. He has a rare combination of design artistry, technical depth, and human intuition that makes a brand feel alive. From day one, he understood the essence of what I wanted Ajarro to represent: modern, elevated, confident, and distinctly anti-agency. He translated that vision into a clean, high-performance site that feels effortless. Every decision, from typography and motion to mobile responsiveness and SEO setup, was intentional and grounded in both strategy and beauty. Beyond talent, Mikkel brings genuine professionalism, clear communication, and a problem-solver’s mindset. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for more than a designer. He’s a true brand partner who brings ideas to life with precision and heart. I truly cannot recommend Mikkel enough!”

“After several weeks of struggling to get my website launch-ready on my own, I finally realized that I needed help. Sheer good luck led me to Mikkel. My strengths do not lie in anything related to tech and all of the nuances of web design, including SEO, are complete mysteries to me. They are areas, however, in which Mikkel is fluent. He offered clarity and a path forward at a time of uncertainty, and he turned my website into something that truly represents my vision. Everyone comments on its layout, ascetics and accessibility. Mikkel’s competence is off the charts – he was an exacting perfectionist to get my site where it needed to be. His communication skills and delivery reflect the consummate professional he is. And he is an absolute pleasure to work with as well. He delivers what he says he will and consistently went beyond. I’m so happy (and lucky) that I found Mikkel. He is my forever go-to and I’m recommending him to friends and colleagues. You will value Mikkel’s insights and talents. If you need a reliable, trustworthy, insanely competent specialist, you’ve found the right person in Mikkel.”
