Big Horizon Energy
A global energy brokerage firm delivering sustainable solutions for businesses, helping clients navigate a complex energy market. The problem was that their expertise was effectively invisible to the decision-makers who needed it most.
The problem
Energy brokerage is a category built entirely on trust, and Big Horizon were pitching commercial decision-makers who had no way to assess them before the first conversation. Their expertise in procurement, strategy and reporting is genuinely specialist — and completely unreadable from a site that treated it as a services list.
The second problem was tone. Sustainability branding defaults to soft greens and stock imagery of leaves, which reads as marketing rather than capability. For a firm selling to CFOs and operations directors, that undermines the sale before it starts.

The approach
Build something that reads as clear and authoritative to a business audience rather than an environmental one. Clarity and trust first, with service offerings structured in a hierarchy that lets a decision-maker understand the whole offer in a single scroll.
The visual direction then went deliberately against the category: a bold, dynamic deep red palette that expresses momentum and confidence instead of gentle environmentalism, while every page stayed aligned to their sustainability mission.

What we built
Six decisions that shaped the build, each made for a reason rather than an aesthetic.
A clean, contemporary interface built to feel polished from the first scroll — signalling a firm operating at commercial scale rather than a boutique consultancy.
Energy strategy, procurement, reporting and consulting each presented with enough clarity that a visitor understands exactly what they would be buying.
Signature deep red woven throughout to express confidence and momentum — deliberately breaking the soft-green convention of the sustainability sector.
A structure that guides visitors without friction, so a decision-maker researching options never has to work out where anything lives.
Every page reflects the commitment to sustainable innovation and long-term impact, without letting that language dilute the commercial proposition.
Shaped entirely around the needs, expectations and motivations of business decision-makers rather than a general audience.
